Erik Kochenberger is an actor, writer, and director from Colorado and is now based out of New York City. He studied acting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts from which he received his BFA along with two awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Meisner and Classical Studios. Erik has credits in film, television and theater.

His first television credit was on CBS's FBI: Most Wanted where he played the Guest Star role Yates Warren. Yates was the youngest appointed Federal Magistrate judge in his court’s history with a dark past that he would do anything to cover up.

Erik has been in two feature films, one of which, Against the Night, was directed by Emmy-award winning director Brian Cavallaro and was released in several major markets and film festivals around the world.

Erik was the titular role in The Great Gatsby at the Ivoryton Playhouse. Next he took on the role of Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility at The Cape Playhouse.  He was also in a production of Macbeth at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts' directed by Obie Award Winner Robert O'Hara, which sold the most tickets in the history of The Space Theater. He made his Off-Broadway debut in The Dudley's at the HERE Arts Center in which he played the lead role, Vic. The play was reviewed by the New York Times and one reviewer wrote "The standout of the bunch was Erik Kochenberger as Vic. Kochenberger has a remarkable presence on stage. He has a command that is effortless, with an ease of crafting a relatable character. Kochenberger has a cinematic charm to his performance." (Theatre in the Now)

Erik made his writing and directorial debut in his short film Rosie which was based on a true story where he witnessed a woman attempting to throw herself in front of a NYC subway train. At the last second Erik jumped in to stop her, and then they spent the rest of the afternoon together getting lunch and exploring why she would be driven to take her own life. The film was well received and was admitted into several film festivals including the LA Indie Film Festival and the Borrego Springs Film Festival.

In his free time, Erik enjoys writing scripts and sketches with his collaborators, listening to music, podcasts, reading, health and fitness, staying close with his family back home in Colorado, and supporting, with a ferocious passion, the Denver Nuggets.
